Update: I wrote this text to share my experiences when I went on the Tremendous Star Libra Penang-Phuket-Krabi cruise. This cruise ship is now homeported in Southern China, on the Haikou island and not ply the Penang-Phuket-Krabi route. It is now sailing the Halong Bay with stopover in Danang and Hue, Vietnam.
We do not actually drink alcohol. Soda is not our thing nor is gambling or searching for China made merchandise with a cruise line emblem on it. At ports we explore on our personal and have by no means paid for an excursion. There’s loads of fun available on a cruise without spending any further. Obviously that’s totally different than Vegas which is a trip centered around playing and drinking, so going to Vegas with out alcohol or gambling money is a waste.
